About Course
Caregiving for an elderly person involves providing support to someone who is vulnerable and may need help due to illness, frailty, disability, or other reasons. Caregiving can include:
- Interacting with various providers
- Moving between home, hospital, rehabilitation facility, or senior residence
- Placement in a nursing home
- End-of-life care
Good caregiving involves: Having patience and empathy, Respecting and dignifying the person’s life, and Striving to enrich their daily experience.
Anyone can be a carer, including children and adults, as long as they are helping a family member, partner, or friend who needs support
